KYOKUSHIN-KAN USA
COMPETITOR REGISTRATION
- The competitor agrees to comply with ALL Rules in effect at the 2026 Kyokushin-Kan America Open International Championships.
- For competitors under 18, a parent/guardian must complete the registration.
- Competitors’ karate school/dojo must be registered first before students can register.
- Registrations may be modified or canceled with a refund no later than May 15, 2026, at 11:59PM EST.
- Mandatory Liability Waiver Form must be submitted no later than the official weigh-in time for the tournament which will be offered a day before the tournament in the official hotel from 12PM to 6PM.
STEP-BY-STEP REGISTRATION – by the competitor (or parent if under the age of 18)
Create SMOOTHCOMP User Account (competitors name)
- Go to SMOOTHCOMP
- Click on the Create Account button
- Enter the competitor’s first and last name
- Enter the email of the competitor (or parent if under 18) and password
- Accept the liability waiver for creating a SMOOTHCOMP account
- Check your email for the activation link (this may take a few minutes if not received check your spam folder)
- Click on the menu in the user name, and then click on Settings
- Complete the competitor profile in Settings
- Select the competitor’s karate school/dojo. If you cannot find your karate school, contact your head of school. The karate school/dojo must be registered before you can register for the 2026 KYOKUSHIN-KAN AMERICA OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Register for 2026 KYOKUSHIN-KAN AMERICA OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Log into your competitor’s SMOOTHCOMP account.
- Click on the Events tab
- Enter 2026 KYOKUSHIN-KAN AMERICA OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in the Search Event bar
- Click on 2026 KYOKUSHIN-KAN AMERICA OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Click on the Register button
- Select the competitor profile and proceed with your registration. Note: A window will open saying that a message will be sent to your Head of School asking to approve your registration, yet you can still continue with your registration.
- Add Competition Fee and then click Register (green button)
- Accept the release of liability for the 2026 KYOKUSHIN-KAN AMERICA OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS registration
- Click to add 1 or 2 events (Kata, Kumite), Verify Gender, Age, Kyu. Consult the corresponding table to identify competitor’s KYU
- If desired, add the Kaicho Seminar which will be held on May 24, 2026, from 9AM to 4PM; and the Dan Test for black belts from 4PM to 5PM.
- Complete payment online. A payment confirmation email will be sent.
Note : Parents can create a SMOOTHCOMP user account for more than one child-competitor by associating them all with their email address.
- Log into the User Account of the first child
- Click on the child’s name (top right) and then click on Manage Profiles
- Click on Add a New Profileand then on Create a new Profile – Complete the information for the second child
- Once his/her SMOOTHCOMP profile has been created, the second child competitor can be registered for 2026 KYOKUSHIN-KAN AMERICA OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS as the indicated steps above
- Repeat steps for all children-competitors within the same family.
